The Wilder Kaiser Region has many ski and snowboard experts. In the 13 ski schools located in the Ellmau, Going, Scheffau and Söll regions, beginners can find excellent instructors to teach first turns in the snow.

The gently undulating countryside at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser could have been made for cross-country skiing. Beginners and competent cross-country skiiers alike can make extensive use of the sunny flat superbly prepared trails between the the four Kaiser villages of Going, Ellmau, Scheffau and Söll.

The Wilder Kaiser region is not just about skiing and snowboarding.  There are plenty of other activities to enjoy in the winter including ice skating, ice curling, over 16 km of Toboggan runs (day and night), horse-drawn carriage rides, festival firework displays, Advent markets and winter village evenings.
